Selecting the proper safety equipment, such as a helmet, should be a no brainer! But, there are other items which you might want to help make your cycling experience more enjoyable.

We are here to help with some simple recommendations.

Cycling Gloves:

Often over looked, they can provide they can provide essential protection in case of a crash, as well as provide comfort and grip while cycling.

Cycling short and Jerseys:

As with gloves, the clothing for a cyclist provides comfort during a ride. Shorts will provide a chamois which will provide some padding, as well as absorbing perspiration. Jerseys will pull perspiration from the body, which will allow the jersey to dry faster. There is nothing worse than an old cotton T-shirt, which is like riding in a wet sponge.

Cycling shoes:

Now depending on the bicycle you purchase, and therefor the type of riding you will be doing, you may or may not need cycling shoes. Cycling shoes not only provide more ventilation than your basic shoe, they provide much needed arch support with a stiffer sole in the shoe.

There are many other accessories that are available to get you cycling down the road or trail. Please ask for further recommendations.
